Mopar Nationals Santa Pod 2012

Last weekend it was Mopar Nationals again! Fantastic musclecars, dragracing all day long and ofcourse english breakfast! I went with my son Dano in our Dodge Dart Wagon '62. First time that we made such a long trip but the car ran like a dream.  I was temporary helper for the Wild'r at Heart Funny Car team and it was a awesome experience, besides that was my own Dodge the tow-car for the racer, it looked right at home on the Santa Pod dragstrip! I took some photo's of the cars, not many Mopars, I know, that is because I like the English dragrace style so much, the fun those guys have with their Anglia's, Austins and Consuls is priceless! Wild'r at Heart Sign

When Ramon and I visited the Bakersfield nostalgia drags last year, we loved the beautiful signs the dragrace teams had for introducing themselves and the cars. I made one for him and the team, sprayed the same as the car; a gold base, then silver metalflake and candy apple red on top.
